Getting things done!!!

Finally, my day job is allowing me to enjoy this time of year!  Yesterday was mowing day.  I really enjoyed cutting the grass under one of our Magnolia trees - the blossoms smell so yummy!

I also worked on my latest project.  I'm hoping to have it ready to enter this summer for a Fall competition.  Here are a few teaser pictures.

And just for fun - here is one of five fur babies with my project in the background.

It can get crowded in my studio sometimes.

Enjoy your weekend and Happy Mothers Day!!!

Happy Spring!

Finally!  Spring has arrived here in North Florida!  We only had one daffodil bloom this year.

But it was beautiful!

The dogwoods are starting to bloom, the azaleas are lovely.  And the tree pollen is vicious!

On the quilting front, I finished a quilt for Downy's Quilts for Kids.  I'll post a picture of it in my next blog. It will be sent off tomorrow.  I plan on making more - another way to use up my stash.  I've also been working on a few small quilts, playing around with ideas for my next BIG project.  It is now sketched out and I'm already working on it.  Hopefully it will be ready for the Jacksonville Quilt Fest in September.

Tom will be making more bird boxes soon and I'll get pictures posted on the website.

Enjoy your day!
